  2. A Charitable Contribution

If you're involved with a charity, did you know eBay have a

special department who are there to assist charities in making

money from eBay auctions?

eBay offers a fantastic opportunity to reach millions of users

worldwide and raise significant funds for your charity. With 68.8

million users worldwide and in March 2003 eBay.co.uk became the

number one e-commerce site in the UK. It was the first UK site to

generate over one billion page views per month.

eBay UK supports charities by offering free promotion on the

charity page, however fees will remain the same.

In order to sell items for charity all charities are required to

create an 'About Me' page. This is an opportunity to tell users

what you do, and aims to encourage them to bid for your items.

Setting up an About Me page is a very simple process as eBay

provides templates to guide you.

eBay itself has a charity page which promotes a number of

charities by graphic or text links

To apply, you need to get a charity registration number from

eBay. Also, you will need to supply evidence that you are raising

funds on behalf of the charity stated.

If this is of relevance to you, you can read all about it here:

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/charity/information.html

  =================================

  3. Never lose an auction - the eBay Toolbar

If you wish to use it, the eBay Toolbar appears on your PC screen

automatically.

It keeps track of the items you've bid on and those you're

watching. It alerts you before those auctions end (you can choose

from a variety of alert times) so that you can place another bid

if you'd like. eBay Toolbar makes it easy to search for an item

on eBay.

You get notifications right on your desktop just before an

auction ends -- this could be the difference between winning and

losing! You track items you're watching, those you've bid on, and

those you've won, all in one place.

Whether you want to do a simple title search or a more extensive

title & description search within a particular category, eBay

Toolbar lets you do it with a single click.

The eBay Toolbar is free to use, and will run on Windows 98 and

later versions.

You can get all the low down here:

auction income. Or if you want to make 2004 the year you move

this is achievable.

5. Someone's auctioning WHAT????

Nothing surprises me when it comes to internet auctions. Amuse

yourself with some of these beauties ...

Just type the auction number into the Search Box on eBay or QXL

as appropriate.

How cruel! Much as I love the Lake District, I can't help feeling

sympathy with this seller's "bird". I'm almost tempted to bid for

this myself. Have a look at eBay 2973571914. Now, the real Angel

of the North, that IS something worth seeing !

If you're the sort of person who likes to be prepared, this might

be for you. You've built it, and now you need a sign so you know

where it is when the time comes - A Nuclear Fallout Shelter sign.

You can bid for one on eBay 2973511060.

There's not a lot of magic in paper clips. But what about used

ones, bent ones, and ones that are so mis-shapen they'll always

be left in the box? Old ones, used ones. As the auction says,

"each has a story to tell". These orphaned paper clips are

looking for a good home. Go on, be a good Samaritan on eBay

2973525442

How about a real twig? Yes, a stick - from an unknown tree.

Better be quick if you want to get in for this one! It's on eBay

2972952313 This seller has another stunning(!) auction, take a

look at eBay 3646163157

Disclaimer - I have no association with any of the sellers of the

above items.
