I hate when they say try not to blink... it's hard not to blinkespecially when there's something in your eye.

he scrapes off the cornea, it takes close to a year to recover and you are required to wear sunglasses for the rest of your life when it is sunny outside. so basically you are replacing glasses for sunglasses.

Epi LASEK is the most advanced , no cut , no flap technique. It can treat very high prescriptions which cannot be treated by LASIK. It is safe as there is no flap and flap related complications.

Epi-LASEK and LASIK are not similar procedures. Epi-LASEK and PRK are similar, HOWEVER in PRK, the epithelium is removed completely with a scraping device that crushes the cells and leaves residue. In epi-LASEK the patient's epithelium is expertly removed with a small mechanism and the epithelium serves as its own bandage following the procedure.

First of all it is LASEK...so if you are going to say something is a scam, I suggest you actually know what you are talking about.

"The major difference between PRK and LESAK is not whether the epithelium is repositioned back or not" That is exactly the difference! PRK can be done with a brush, laser, or solution to remove epithelium. LASEK is simply PRK with the epithelium replaced. The procedure shown here is PRK. EDUCATE YOURSELF! THIS IS A SCAM!!

The major difference between PRK and LESAK is not whether the epithelium is repositioned back or not. I've read some articles and recent study shows there's no significant difference for post-op process between placing the epithelium back or not. The major difference is the method the surgeon uses to remove the epithelium--in most PRK, a vibrate brush is used; in LASEK, it's a kind of alcohol solution.

Dr. Emil Chynn is unprofessional and inappropriate. He seems to be a decent surgeon, but DON'T QUESTION HIM in any way or he'll become nasty and threaten to discharge you from his practice! He also yells at and demeans his staff in front of patients!
