Just got this done yesterday morning. The second I got up out of the chair I could tell the time on the clock which was about 5 metres away. I idn't even know there was a clock there beforehand lol.The procedure was painless and you're really only aware of the liquid sensation in your eyes. My vision was quite bad (-7.50 per eye) so the laser was on for 47 seconds on each eye whereas the girl on after me was only on for 7 seconds per eye.

Do these pictures created by people who have had these surgeries look like your expectation of "20/20"?? The doctors measure a very narrow aspect of vision. Don't get this surgery!!!! go to visionsurgeryrehab . c o m /imagegallery . htmlTake the spaces out of the web address to see the images. I am trying to save even one person from this nightmare!!! Notice really smart people do their research and don't get this?? Bill Gates wears glasses for crying out loud.

Reading the comments it looks like everyone is different.I had my LASEK on 12th March 2010, and when I got the 'bandage' contact lens's fitted it made me feel so nauseous that I had to have them removed after 3 days (and I was a contact lens wear before my eye surgery) any way it was 1. 1/2 months before I got 20/20 now its even better after 4 months! No pain just slight discomfort, or maybe because I felt so sick I didn’t feel the pain!!! I don’t regret it, so go for it.

Just had lasek done 4 days ago and I'm already @ 20/40 and getting better everyday. Like many have stated, the 1st day/nite is the roughest. It's like a constant burning sensation and your eyes will be extremely sensitive to any lights so you basically just need to sleep for a few hrs if possible. he drops they give do help as well. After the 1st day, the pain subsides and you start reaping the benefits of being able to see clearly without glasses/contacts.

@rhebs109 with the lasek the pain lasts a hell of a lot longer..i was in agony for 2.5 days and it was unrelenting. yeah i agree the most discomfort during the surgery is the pressue they apply...not particularly pleasant

it only hurts for like a few hours, during the surgery the most pain you feel is like someone is pushing on your eye with their thumb, all you feel is the pressure. and lasik now uses a laser to create the flap instead of a blade. your eyes feel normal by the next day
